If rumors are to be believed, there are 5 versions of the Wii U dev kit. While we don't know what's really changed from kit to kit, we're also hearing that each kit was given a color. For those that want to know rumored information about every aspect of the Wii U, you can find out the color scheme below.

Looking through GAF's Wii U thread, I was [personally] surprised to find out that there were red 'Mario' and green 'Luigi' Wii dev kit's.
Sadly, I fear we'll never get another GC Pimp Purple console from Nintendo.
I want that controller in black.
Or red. Not the semi-pinkish Flare Red, more like CRIMSON Red! With black details!

I think because of one of the Wii development kits being green. You can see a picture of the green Wii development kit somewhere on The Wii U Speculation Thread V: The Final Frontier.
The names flying around for the V thread at the end of IV were fabulous.
I can only imagine [if] they get through this one before E3 on what thread VI, the E3 one will be called!
