Nintendo patents new method of tracking Club Nintendo points

- would do away with registration cards
- codes would be printed on the box
- registrations would be tracked alongside your purchase
- accounts with several duplicate registrations would get you flagged/removed
- retailer would scan code and info would be sent to Nintendo to confirm purchase
- if you return the game, your coins would be removed
- if you spent your coins, you couldn't return the game
- patent was applied for on Nov. 15, 2010
