Apparently GT.TV's Geoff Keighley just dropped a somewhat expected bomb during Spike TV's All Access Weekly. During a snippet, Keighley said that 'Mario Wii U' would be a launch title. Now...I think we're all expecting New Super Mario Bros. Mii to be a Wii U launch title. Whether that's what Keighley was talking about remains to be seen. You know, if he actually did say anything! Thanks to King Broly for the heads up.

i'm so hyped for e3!
Think the NSMBM concept will be called Super Mario Bros. 4 now methinks.
And yes, duh it's a launch title!
I don't think he's actually been told anything we haven't. You can tell Reggie wouldn't trust him when they talk and Geoff begs.
Ugh i missed the show does anyone know if spike or game trailers is gonna show the whole thing again all i saw was the very very end.
Damn all these rumors and stuff.. I'll give 5 Cookies to the one that knocks me out til' E3 actually starts..
I would love to help you out, mate! But the distance....
No, try it! If you punches reeeally hard, it might just reach!
PS: also, did Geoff actually say Mario Wii-U? If so, he means something other than NSMBM? O_O"
I'll do a Krav Maga your way then
If it's Mario Miii then it should be a free game coming with the WiiU. As in software in the system itself, not on a disc. But I am hoping it's something else. A complete new Mario game made for the U....
Odds are he's referring to NSMB.
I wouldn't discount a new 3D Mario because Galaxy 2 dropped 2 years ago and it's not like the team working on Mario has been sitting around doing nothing.
But I can't see Nintendo ever launching a 3D Mario and NSMB in the same window so if it is a 3D Mario that means they will push NSMB back.
@Entity
I have no idea what a Krav Mega is, but gimme your best shot!
NSMBM as a free software game would be awesome. Not that long probably, but still awesome. ^^ It would certanly help.
However, I really hope he meant a Main Mario Game. And i severly hope it's more like Sunshine than Galaxy.
The man clearly has no inside info, who really does when it comes to Nintendo? He's got the same info as us about NSMB:Mii and is either guessing or just assuming that it's going to be a launch title.
That said, Galaxy 2 came out a while ago so I wouldn't be surprised to see a new 3D Mario game at E3, though I'm not expecting it to be a launch title.
You guys realize that he probably has inside information as he probably had to talk with nintendo on what's on and off limits with his interview with Reggie right.
@our guys talk about he knows nothing but there os a good chance he probably knows a lot more than anyone else in the gaming press on the subject.
Hmm... I like the way you're thinking. I'm kinda right there with you considering how they reacted when (was it IGN) brought up the name Super Mario Bros. 4 in an interview.
I don't think it will be a pack-in, but SMB 4 on launch day of the Wii U makes a whole lot of sense.
Pretty sure he's just talking about New Super Mario Bros. Wii U.
Don't get your hopes up too much everyone, you will be burned.
Krav Maga is a self deffence thingy from Israel I go to. It's brutal and effective (and ugly ) The police, army and even bodyguards are all trained in it.
Yes. Mario Mii as a free game. Somewhat to showcase the streaming ability from the U-pad too. And then some. Maybe showcasing the U's online too (play with friends online instead of local). If Ninty does that, I'm OK.
New Super Mario Bros Mii
You're forgetting that the Galaxy team made Super Mario 3D Land and work on that was finished late last year.
Ah, really? Awesome, never heard of. ^3^
That actually makes a lot of sense. I really hope that's the case. It would only need a few Stages, too, since it's free, so I doubt it'd be that hard to do. ^^ Who knows, maybe the stages from last year's E3 will be included? We'll just have to wait and see~
NSMBMii is going to be a launch title, it might have been renamed, but it will be.
Yeah, this is pretty much already confirmed. NSMBMii or Wii U or whatever.
They need to launch with as many first-party titles as possible, if you ask me. In fact, I'm mildly disappointed that the Wii U won't be launching with Smash, 'cause that's the whole reason I'd buy a Wii U in the first place anyway.
I hope New Super Mario Bros Mii isn't just NSMB Wii with Mii's
I'll be honest and say that if it is just another NSMB Wii with Mii's that'd be pretty lackluster, smart for business, but boring for fans I think
Jeeze, why does everyone hate Geoff?
I reeeeeeally hope a 3D Mario is shown off. NSMB would be boring, unless they showed it with a complete artstyle rehaul. (Which will never happen if NSMB2 is any indication) That bland and sterile artstyle would be the worst possible thing to showcase the new HD system. It NEEDS a refresh.
Cool I hope a Mario game comes out at Wii U launch
