I don't understand, why is it always and I mean ALWAYS the natural evolution to take something that's always been beautiful, natural, 2D hand drawn artwork and then make it something thats ugly ass soulless 3D made to look like 2D.
This game will be nowhere near as effective or engaging if every character is some funked up robot with full on animation.

..actually thats MVC3. Ha I'm so hype and happy he's back-awesome news to come home too. I'd prefer 2d graphics (after how wonderful AJ looked, we're missing out on some damn good looking things on the 3DS) but I'll hold off judgement (funny, I've had that attitude for years towards 3d animated films/shows but it's only with games recently have people begun to join me
As long as the culprits aren't all a sausage fest again (need moar villainesses) I'm good to go. What a good week for Ace Attorney, I watched the (awesome) movie last night.
Boy, I was wondering when the 3D hate would begin. I would prefer fully-animated 3D animations as opposed simple 2D sprite transitions.
Now if they could've done fully-animated 2D art, that'd be great, too.
And I'm gonna also say that voice acting would be pretty sweet, too. After those old TGS trailers, I'd love to see and hear the characters speak.
Sure, I realize the effects that this would have on localization, especially on a game that isn't guaranteed localization to begin with. But if they could do it, I'd like it.
I hope not, it will make things even more difficult for a localization.
I am glad this game is coming to the 3DS and not for smartphones (if you know what I mean). I am REALLY happy with this and I already can't wait to play it!

I miss Apollo though, I honestly expected and wanted a new Apollo game, he needs more development. Phoenix has had his time...
But with the "1 year after AA4" it doesn't seem like they'd completely retcon it, so that 's something I guess... don't mind me, I'm just an Apollo fan hoping for some more about one of my favorite Ace Attorney characters... at least a cameo?
That aside, it looks pretty good, and though I don't like this new trend of making 2D games somewhat-3D-ish (plain 2D is still cool! i love pixel art...) the new graphic style doesn't look too bad. Also I'm interested about finding out more about the new girl... though, is Payne's brother going to be the "main" prosecutor? That would be kind of silly. Actually, he somewhat reminds me of movie!Redd White (for those who haven't seen the movie, Redd White is completely different there)
Ugh, Phoenix stole enough of Apollo's limelight in Apollo's own game, don't give him back the main character role!
I mean, I like Phoenix, and the game is (most likely) gonna be great regardless, but geez. He's supposed to be the mentor character now, like Mia was.
