New Super Mario Bros. U
- Flying Squirrel suit lets you shake the controller to fly upwards a bit
- Fire Flower and Ice Flower return
- purple Yoshi transforms into a balloon
- stopping on blocks in boost mode fills a meter
- when the meter is full, the Boost Star appears
- this lets the GamePad player defeat any enemy

Nintendo Land's Pikmin Adventure
- player with the Wii U gamepad gets to be Captain Olimar
- other four players are giant Pikmin

- hit the whistle icon to have them return
- the whistle also summons the giant Pikmin controlled by your friends

- defeat these angry birds by flying above them and crashing into their balloons
- earn points for collecting balloons and get a score multiplier if you snag all of the balloons in a set
- get bonus points by landing on a podium at the end of the round and delivering a package
- picking a package up changes your weight and makes it more difficult to control your Mii
