Pachter says Wii U negativity will always be there, won't impact holiday sales

"I don't think this has much impact on the launch and continue to expect launch quantities to be sold out, and reorders to remain sold out through March. Negativity overall will never go away, so I expect the negativity to continue through holiday. I think Wii U will sell out its production through March, which is 5.5 million hardware units. The company probably will ship 3 million by Christmas, and all will be sold out." - Michael Pachter

With Nintendo, you can always expect a lot of bashing. Pachter should know that pretty well!

Hahahaha. He's right. Funny thing is that he usually is the negative person. Or he's a troll to troll us Nintendo fans

ITT: We forget he's generally right, just negative and people hate that, so clearly he's wrong.

But he's generally right because it's mostly obvious stuff, but that's cool.

Either way, yeah, it's gonna keep selling.

@MoldyClay

Generally right? the hell he is. He's almost always wrong. He was wrong about Wii HD. More specifically, when it would come. He was wrong about the 3DS and how he thought it was priced right and going to be a huge hit at launch. He was wrong about GTA V being a next gen launch title. I could go on and on. Guys a windbag of misinformation and bogus predictions he just pulls out of his ass.

I liked how he said the quick Wii u game discounts was about stores competing for console sales and wasn't reflective of poor game sales. He's not always dumb.

He set a target price of $44 for Facebook. It is now up to $24.
He is only right when he talks about Nintendo negativity ... For which he is the "go to" guy.

A positive rated Patcher article? Never thought I'd see the day, good on you community. As long as we don't turn into MNN.

And most of this negativity will probably come from Pachter himself. After all, he sure did like to say Nintendo was doomed every year until the Wii U came out.

But he's right, negativity will always exist.

Where were you when the classic "Since he said it, the exact opposite is going to happen!" tagline came into play in every single thread dealing with Pachter?
