Retro City Rampage on-track to hit WiiWare this month

The following message comes from Brian at VBlank Entertainment when asked about the WiiWare version of Retro City Rampage...

It's still on track to be out this month.

Well, I guess we can really narrow down the release date then, can't we?!

How many months too late and on the Wii, not the Wii U? Then they'll complain when it doesn't sell well on the Wii or never put anything else on the Wii U in the future because of their own lack of foresight.

Everyone that already wanted it got it on PS360/PC.

Is it a coincidence that the game is on sale today? On Steam, that is.

Playstation/Windows got it a while ago, but it literally only JUST came out on 360 a week or so ago.

For those without ps360, no, they probably don't have it.

Though I have to wonder, will it be $15 like on PS3? Or $10 like on 360?

Had this come out like 2 years ago on Wiiware I'd have bought it, no question.

But really, who checks the Wii shop channel anymore? If I hadn't heard about this game I'd have just assumed the Wii shop is dead. It's beyond idiotic; there's hardly any indie games on WiiU eshop, but they put it on the Wii shop instead? And after it's been out forever?

Oh well, not a problem for me. I got it free on PS+, and I'm debating whether I want to buy it on Steam today. I think I'll hold off, while I greatly prefer my indie titles on PC I bet it'll hit $3.25 or become part of an indie bundle before the end of the year.

@BlueRangerVegeta
Agreed

And no way I'm loading up my Wii U to load up a Wii menu just to play the game. If they made an HD version, I'm sure it would sell a lot better.

I got tired of waiting for this and was able to play it free on PS Vita instead. Oh well. This will be good for the people who still only have access to a Wii and nothing else. I'm sure those 12 people are very excited for this, assuming they're informed enough to even know what it is and that it's still coming.
