Emergency? That sounds pretty strange. I was thinking about getting a couple things, but I think I'll hold up on buying anything on the e-shop until after this. I don't want my credit card info hacked or something.

Its probably not a credit card breach or they'd shut it down right now instead of waiting until monday
I see Pokémon on the list of servers...I wonder if has anything to do with people hosting their own unofficial events.
@gamblorthe credit card info is probably stored on each individual system, if i were to guess.
@gamblor Exactly, Sony immediately shut down their servers once the breech happened. And it was known from the beginning (by some people) that it was a hack, so Nintendo would have said something.
Don't think it's that emergency. I've known about the Pokémon ones since the start of the month

No, this is server maintennce, not system update... The servers have absolutely NOTHING to do with the kernel. Make some research before saying things like that, someone could see this and believe you...
I wonder if summer will be when Miiverse finally comes to the 3DS [along with Smartphones and PCs], I mean it has to be there for the worldwide Pokemon XY launches in Fall, right?
