"We're a development company...Nintendo gives us money, we make Bayonetta 2 and W101, and they sell it...So if Nintendo says 'We're putting Bayonetta 2 on PS360' it'll come out on those platforms...So ask Nintendo about it..." - Hideki Kamiya
Two titles that could certainly see delays, but you won't see them jump ship to other platforms. Thanks to all that sent this in.

I don't particually care if they stay exclusive or not, as long as the thing isn't pushed 3 weeks from release after promotion.
I hate how Rayman and NG3:RE's exclusivity deal ending shines doubt upon all 3rd party wii U exclusives. There is a thread on neogaf debating if Lego City stories will be stay an exclusive http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=512359
I'm sure the Platinum games staff gets super annoyed with these kinds of questions constantly. I know I would.
He raises a good point, will Nintendo be the next company to betray us next? I'm calling New Super Mario Bros. U for PS3/360 this November.
Who was expecting Platinum too anyway? Just because Rayman, Ghost Recon, Metro, and Aliens have no solid Wii U release dates/pushed back/cancelled doesn't mean EVERY 3rd party Wii U game will be...
Awesome, I just wish this meant Rayman.
...Well,since Nintendo itself is publishing it, it's "impossible" for it to come to other platforms.
@GeneticRepoMan i lol'ed
@LegendofSantiago Well, tbh, the Lego games are very much games for everyone.
I'd be very surprised if it wasn't ported to the PS360 right before their successors hit.
You're right that everyone thinking 'Oh well, guess no announced Wii U third party title will stay exclusive then' are cackling with glee abit too hard...
It's already been said that Lego City won't be ported to other platforms, even due to storyline reasons, since the main character is given an in-game Wii U pad which allows him to see the map and stuff. Also, I think Nintendo is funding it too.
I'm not sure I understand how these things works. Wasn't NG3:RE published and even supervised by Nintendo? And now it's coming to 360/PS3, so maybe not TW101, but Bayonetta 2 could come as well, unless there's somthing I'm missing.
I don't know. It just seems a perfect Skylanders Family-aimed game. The combined userbase of the PS60WiiU must surely be very tempting to hit?
If Rayman Legends level / gameplay mechanics can be retooled for PS360, I'm sure this game could too.
And Nintendo helped fund NG3:RE - which is now coming out on the PS360.
Anything's possible. Exclusives [outside first party] are a very rare breed in this era of over-bloated development budgets and poor global economies.
I'm not sure, but I think the game was developed by Tecmo and published by Nintendo in the west. The difference is, Platinum's games are actually being funded by Nintendo. They're not developing the games themselves, but they are paying Platinum to do so and thus they probably own the rights to them. So it is really impossible that they will go to other platforms unless Nintendo says so, as stated.
I'm not so sure they have funded it, the only information I could find on the internet was that they published it in the west.
EDIT: Yeah, now I'm pretty sure that Nintendo only published it in the west. The Japanese boxart doesn't even have the Nintendo logo:
Don't care for Bayonetta, but The Wonderful 101 has intrigued me.
Poor Kamiya. He has to deal with those questions all the time.
Thanks for funding Platinum's games Nintendo! At least we know these won't get finished and then delayed so other versions can be made!
Im happy to hear Platinum games will stay with Nintendo (at least these two) ... I hope we could see more games from these guys.
AND I like trolling with PS360 ... lol
I don't have any faith anymore. I will now expect every 3rd party game on the Wii U to get a port.
Kamiya and Mikami have always been true to their word. The only time their games got ported was when Capcom screwed them over. Platinum and Nintendo are in charge, so the game will probably stay exclusive. I love Platinum.
Good. I'm looking forward to seeing more of W101.
B 2, Wonderful 101 and Lego City Stories will stay 100% exclusive.
This is not like Ninja Gaiden. Nintendo only published NG in the west (and here the WiiU version will stay exclusive)
while they co-funded, supervised and publish Lego City Stories, Bayonetta and W 101.
Lego City also has TONS of Nintendo related ingame things like a WiiU gamepad etc.
