It would be really funny if WiiSports a bare bones tech demo from 7 years ago wins over more fleshed out "modern" experiences

True, being the only watachable lot on Nick are

- Max & Ruby
- TMNT
- Power Rangers: Megaforce
- Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness
They did this last year too. The nominees are just old games.

Yes and no. The way they've handled the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise so far has been amazing with the exception of Turtles Forever being a pretty generic DVD (and I believe it has the "TV edit" instead of the full version of the film).
But yeah.
Nick and Cartoon Network only have a handful of shows I can still sit through (aside from when they show older stuff).
Maybe there weren't enough popular and kid-appropriate games last year so they just nominated older games?

I'd say it needs to be fun... no matter what year it was released.

Its Nickelodeon people, nickelodeon is ment for a very young audience so thats why we see non M rated games here.
I'll choose Resident Evil Revelations, Fire Emblem Awakening, Mario Kart 7, don't know ...

Let's be honest here..Butch Hartman is equally as bad as Seth McFarlane
Why you ask? He butchered a british film with a lazy gag script laden with fart jokes and dated gags involving "Lord of the Rings" and "The Matrix"
In case your stumped... i'm referring to "Doogal" the bastardized US dub of the 2005 CG film "The Magic Roundabout"
I'm sorry, but there is a VERY notable lack of Nickelodeon's best show, The Legend of Korra, on your list there. Speaking of, why the HELL wasn't that nominated for best cartoon? This awards show is absolutely insultingly dumb, even for little kids.
