German editor claims Deus Ex: Human Revolution is Square-Enix's PAX East suprise

We're all figuring that Square-Enix is going to unveil Deus Ex: Human Revolution for Wii U at PAX East, but we don't know for sure. All we can tell you now is that a German editor claims that he has seen the game, and it is indeed the reveal for PAX East. If anyone has time to listen in to a German podcast, you can check out the feature (and timestamp) below!

So their surprise is a game I bought for 3$ at steam sales 4 months ago?

Why would I want a two year port? I missed it but I can get it for cheap if I wanted it. Tomb raider would have been what I want. But as long as it is not ff13 I suppose it is better than nothing.

"Deus Ex: I didn't ask for this Edition"

Remember people, this, like Mass Effect 3, is likely Straigh Right's doing more than anything.

It better be extremely modified/updated to get any kind of major interest. I had the game for the 360 and never finished it even though i bought some of the dlc. I would probably get it for $29.99 if they made good use of the gamepad and added brand new content not available anywhere else.

Thats what the podcast says. But don't expect less than $60.

Wii U is the punchline to a really depressing joke.

I don't know why they refuse to put FFVII-XIII on Nintendo systems. They had no problem putting I-VI on everything with a screen, but when it comes to throwing Nintendo a bone they just do stupid crap like this instead.

If the game is heavily modified and is improved by the gamepad then I might be inclined to double dip

I'd rather have this game than Final Fantasy. Modern FF fucking sucks grits through a straw

Why put multiple games on Wii U that no one will buy when you can put one game on Wii U that no one will buy?

Even a piece of garbage like FFXIII would sell more on a Nintendo platform than anything not named Final Fantasy.

If thats true, SE got their excuse now. Put out a game to an audience who didn't ask for it and then hope it sells. It flops as predicted and they will act surprise when it does. When people ask why the latest Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider games aren't on Wii U, they'll point to this.

Square may not be porting this game at all, they could just have given the license to Straight Right.
No one would put a game on a console to ensure it fails so they can have an excuse later.

People are complaining about two year old ports from 3rd parties? LOL But everyone jumps down my throat for a certain other two year old port made by Nintendo. Fanboys I tell ya....

That being said Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix, or hell even Sleeping Dogs i'd take before this Deus Ex game. At least THOSE aren't nearly as old....

Yay. A port of a 2 year old game no one asked for.

@ddddd

My comment is exagerrated on purpose but I still think third parties like SE are setting themselves up for disappointment here unless their expectations for this game is 25k.

why couldn't this have been Dragon Quest X on Wii U for North America. Or Fantasy Life, or Dragon Quest 7.

I really hope that it's Deus Ex, not only so all the salty tears can melt the snow, but because it's a great game. Why are you guys complaining about a 2 year old game but line up outside stores for 15 year old remakes?

I bought this on PC for $8 at best buy last year. Come on S-E.

I can appreciate what you're saying, Broshin, but there's a big difference between late ports and remakes of older games. With the remakes (I assume you were talking about Wind Waker) there's a lot of excitement and warm fuzzy feelings due to the nostalgia. Fans are eager for that kind of remake because of how long it has been since the game was first out. Perhaps they haven't played it in a long time, or perhaps the game is a bit dated and it would be nice to see it with a fresh coat of paint.

With a game like Batman or Deus Ex, there is no nostalgia. The excitement came BEFORE those games were out. Now they're just old news, dregs at the bottom of the cup.

And for the record, I'm not lining up for Wind Waker. I'm certainly not buying it if they price it at $50-60. There might be a few nuts here who will. Well they must be way crazier about Zelda than I am, and I have a Zelda tattoo.

yeah, i enjoy when people are legitimately upset over stupid decisions while the company they are mad at brings everything new to everyone else EXCEPT those people.

your question has a simple answer, despite your over-generalization of certain gamers. you can still get deus ex easily for absurdly low prices. you can't get wind waker in stores anymore, and you usually can't get it very cheaply when you do find it.

Why would I care about this? Hell I'd actually Buy Lightning Returns as opposed to this if they had announced that instead, and I hated FFXIII (liked XIII-2 but the ending was shovel)

There will be plenty of U owners that haven't played this game, and it's an advanced version of what was on offer before. I can understand people's dissapointment, but c'mon! Wait 'til PAX.
