- we're getting into a period where devs are really getting to know the system
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past II really leverages the 3D features of the 3DS
- the multi-tiered aspects of A Link to the Past plays well in 3D
- you'll be able to use the paper-like mechanic in the overworld and dungeons
- the Mario and Luigi dev team considers the series a comedy adventure
- Mario and Luigi: Dream Team features dreams where Luigi imagines himself as amazing - there's a big emphasis placed on 3D in the battle scenes
- the imaginary attacks that Luigi comes up with in his dreams are being called
'Luiginary'
- other points in the game won't use 3D visuals as much
- the overworld is an isometric view
- dream world is more side-scrolling
- Japan was slower on uptake of cell phones, but there was a big boom in the last year
- that is the same female audience that's been buying 3DS for Animal Crossing
- software sells hardware, so if you have great software people will buy the hardware
- Nintendo is enjoying the unique digital content on the eShop that other devs are providing
- Nintendo is using Nintendo Direct to market eShop games
- Nintendo is always looking for new ways to get people into the eShop
- Nintendo says content is always a key challenge
- Nintendo believes 2013 will be a huge year for 3DS
- Nintendo is working on Wii U content diligently
- Pikmin 3 and New Super Luigi U will be highest quality content
- ton of Wii U content coming, with hands-on at E3
- this will be content that has been showcased in previous Nintendo Direct events
