A portion of a MeGamers interview with Warren Spector...

MG: Why did you decide not to include online multiplayer?

WS: If you go to any Disney movie screening, what do you see? A father and daughter enjoying the movie together; a couple enjoying a quiet movie night on their own – people enjoy spending time together. Which is what we thought about when we worked on the multiplayer aspect of the game. We wanted people to come together and enjoy the game sitting together on their couch at home, rather than with a stranger across the globe. Excluding online gameplay might be a decision I regret later on, but we’ll come to that at our next interview!

MG: Do you think that we’ll see other Disney franchises explored in a way similar to Epic Mickey?

WS: Of course! It would be great to spend the rest of my life honoring these characters for as long as I can, so don’t be too surprised if you see another epic adventure heading your way in the years to come.
