PAL Wii U doesn't upscale Wii games to HD
Coming from Digital Foundry...
“Important AV options are omitted from the Wii menu, with the PAL console unable to upscale to HD resolutions or run in progressive scan over component – an issue that doesn’t seem to impact NTSC hardware.”
Looks like NTSC definitely got the better end of the deal here. This isn't something that couldn't be patched up in an firmware update, but something tells me that's a pipe dream.
