GN Version 4.0
- toggle an overlay that shows where every enemy unit can reach with their attacks
- this includes long-ranged attacks
- toggle individual opponent’s ranges
- select an enemy and see where they can move and reach with their attack
- this stays onscreen even after you move the cursor away
- you can do this for multiple enemies at once
- also features free battles, which you can use to train up your units
- on the world map, you may see an enemy icon that indicates a battle
- these battles feature enemies with good loot drops and cash
- purchase an item that will call an enemy unit to the field to challenge
- different areas have different levels of enemies
- stronger enemies also provide more monetary compensation
- a green icon means a merchant is in the area
- merchants add special goods like Goddess Icons or Seraph Robes
- these will permanently increase stats
- they also carry many items, such as Master Seals and Second Seals
- these aren’t available for purchase until much later in the game
- after you visit the store and leave, the merchant disappears
- each area can have two special events
- example: you can have two enemy units visit, in which case you’ll have to face two “Boss” units
- free to revisit previous areas in the game from the world map
- visit separate areas unrelated to the story when they open
- these will open Paralogues, which are like side stories
- most of these come with a recruitable character
- the first Paralogue gives youDonnel, a farmer who has never fought a battle
- if you manage to get him to level up once during the ensuing battle, he stays with your army
- you can recruit the children of your married units
- Paralogues are unlocked whenever you marry a couple off
