GrubberGamer's Online Game Deals for March 17th, 2013
Another Sunday, another round of video game sales, specials and promotions. And I've gotta say, this week's offers are some of the best Nintendo related deals I've seen in a long while.
We'll start with the spotlight deal of the week - Target's Buy 2, Get 1 Free offer! This includes video games for Wii U, Wii, 3DS and DS, as well as games for other popular systems. If you plan to shop online, Target is including free shipping on offers of $75 or more. Plus, a number of pre-order games qualify for this deal, including Lego City: Undercover (with bonus Chase McCain Lego figure), Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, and Need for Speed: Most Wanted. This is a great opportunity to pick up the newest releases (Fire Emblem: Awakening, anyone?) or to catch up on what you may have missed - be sure to check it out online or visit your local store.
Also from Target, receive a free $50 gift card with the purchase of a Wii U Deluxe or Wii U Basic set. If you're looking for portable hardware (I suppose you could argue a Wii U Gamepad qualifies, but I digress), 3DS base systems have been discounted to $149.99, and DSi systems are available for $89.99. Free shipping with all.
If you buy 2 Skylanders figures from Target this week, you'll get 1 free. This looks to be an in-store only offer at the moment, though it may eventually go active online - Target's website sometimes lags behind when implementing weekly sales. This deal is the icing on the cake if you're also planning to pick up a Skylanders Giants Starter Pack for a discounted $39.99!
Toys R Us is absolutely crazy with gift card offers this week - take a look at these in-store only deals:

• Buy two select DS or Wii games, get a $10 gift card
• Buy three select DS or Wii games, get a $20 gift card

• Buy $80 worth of Skylanders merchandise, get a $25 gift card
• Buy a Wii U console set with New Super Mario Bros. U and Lego City Undercover, get a $50 gift card
Thinking about Disney Infinity? TRU will throw in a free character with your Disney Infinity Starter Pack pre-order. They're also offering Skylander: Spyro's Adventure figures for half off - one of their few online sales this week.
The deals continue with Best Buy and their Big Spring Cleanup sale. While the game selection isn't nearly as large as Target's B2G1 promotion, there are some fantastic deals to be found. Adventure Time for 3DS is only $9.99, Darksiders II for Wii U is $19.99, and Pikmin 2 for Wii is only $4.99! Many of these offers will probably sell out soon - some are already limited to in-store pickup - so be quick!
Lots of other deals and discounts from Best Buy this week. If you buy two select pre-owned DS games, you get two free. And if you buy a Skylanders Giants Starter Pack, you'll save $20 and receive a free Skylanders Giants lunchbox. Like Toys R Us, Best Buy will also include a free character with your Disney Infinity pre-order.
