GoNintendo 'End of Day' thought - Donkey Kong delay the right move?

Ugghhh...soooo tired lately. Too much late-night gaming going on. I need to ease up a bit! Seriously a first-world problem here. I should stop complaining and get to bed! See you in a few, short hours.

I think we all knew it was too good to be true. Nintendo likes to say that they stick by their release dates, there's always a few casualties each year. The last delay we're getting this year comes with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. The writing was on the wall when we reported retailers shifting the game's release, but now Nintendo has officially confirmed the push back.

Nintendo's own output leading up to the end of the year will indeed be very strong, with plenty content for Nintendo fans to jump on. Hopefully you'll get some of those games as gifts, because buying them all on your own could end up breaking the bank! Some might see the Donkey Kong delay as a bit of a blessing, as it'll give time for bank accounts to rest up!

We also don't want to see Donkey Kong get lost in the other Nintendo releases coming out. With big guns like Zelda and Mario hitting prior to Donkey Kong's original release, it might have taken some of the attention off the big guy. Now Donkey Kong should have plenty of eyes on him when Tropical Freeze hits in early 2014.

Do you think DK's delay will work out for the best? Does this delay just make Nintendo's struggle to provide Wii U content even more visible? Will Donkey Kong now get ignored with its push back, or will fans use the delay to get even more hyped? Leave a comment and let us know!
