A portion of a TDC interview with Zen's Mel Kirk...

TDC: I’ve just been getting more and more into Castle Storm which is one of your newer and non-Pinball related games this year. What made you guys want to pick it up? I’m glad you did, mind you, it’s pretty refreshing to see tower defense done up that way that can keep a charming and funny air to them.

Mel: Castle Storm was developed and published by Zen. Completely. It took waaaay too long to get done (but hopefully the quality shows). It’s a game that morphed and evolved over time because we kept adding things to it. We would have an idea and then say to ourselves “We cannot release this game without THIS. How fun would THAT be?!” and when you get in that cycle, you tend to lose track of time. I think we managed to do something new and fun and we’re really proud of that game. The lead on the project, Tamás Balog, is super talented. I wish he could be here talking about it as well. One day he will be a superstar on some game that millions will enjoy.
