Shadow Puppeteer

BERGEN, Norway, September 17, 2015—Publisher, Snow Cannon Games, and developer, Sarepta Studio, today announced that their award-winning, local co-op adventure, Shadow Puppeteer, is coming to Wii U in late 2015/early 2016.

In Shadow Puppeteer, players assume the roles of a boy and his shadow, separated from one another by the evil shadow puppeteer. Players must work together to manipulate light, solving puzzles that bring them closer to finding this villain and freeing other shadows he has stolen.

Winner of the 2015 Indie Prize Director’s Choice Award and applauded for its stunning art, enchanting music and clever puzzles, Shadow Puppeteer will captivate from beginning to end.

“We devoted enormous effort to Shadow Puppeteer’s co-op experience, specifically ensuring each character plays a meaningful role in helping both players progress through the game,” said Catharina Bøhler, CEO of Sarepta Studio. “It’s a great feeling to be able to bring our game to a console that’s equally as focused on the co-op experience. Wii U is where we believe Shadow Puppeteer belongs.”

“From the moment we saw Shadow Puppeteer, we knew it was perfectly suited for Wii U,” said Espen Askvik, CEO of Snow Cannon Games. “Having Nintendo support the game as one of its Nindies, further reinforces this belief to us. We’re looking forward to release and learning how the Nintendo community enjoys playing Shadow Puppeteer.”

Shadow Puppeteer will be one of the 15 Nindies showcased at EGX in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Sept. 24–27 in the Nintendo booth. To schedule a private demo of Shadow Puppeteer at EGX with its developer, Sarepta Studio, please contact emmy@snowcannongames.com .
