GoNintendo 'End of Day' thought - Does Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge entice you?

Well it happened...we had real snow here tonight. It wasn't a blizzard or anything, but it was certainly enough to cover cars. Looks like Winter is finally showing its face here. I really hope this is the first and last we see of snow for this season. I don't want anything to do with that damn powdery mess! See you in a few, short hours.

Nintendo seems to be starting a new trend in 2016. We've see the Big N announce two games out of nowhere. BOXBOY! One More Box was announced and released on the same day in Japan! I'm sure that title is on its way stateside as we speak. Now we also have Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge, which is coming out later this month in Japan. Again, there's no doubt that this title is going to make its way around the rest of the world, and I'd guess sooner rather than later.

Awhile back, we heard that Nintendo was working on some titles that would really focus in on amiibo. Games that would require you to have amiibo and let you use them in unique ways. While there's no way of knowing for sure, it certainly seems like Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge is the result of one of those experiences. It may not be a huge experience that people were really expecting, but it dose look to fill a nice void in the software lineup.

There are still some details about Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge that need to be ironed out. We don't know how the rollout will work where the game leaves Japan. Is there going to be any way for current amiibo owners to take advantage of their purchases? It seems Nintendo has plans to release the game as an eShop download at some point in Japan, but first the only way to get it is with codes attached to amiibo. Maybe Nintendo will just start off with an eShop download for North America, seeing how big the amiibo market is here?

How do you feel about the reveal of Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge? Does it seem like something you're interested in, or are you going to skip out? Leave a comment and let us know!
