Publisher Paradox Interactive has announced that two new DLC packs will launch next week for Across the Obelisk on Nintendo Switch. Across the Obelisk, a roguelite deck-building role-playing game with a unique cooperative multiplayer experience, will receive a new Hero Pack: Nenukil, the Engineer, and a new Story Pack: The Obsidian Uprising, both of which will release on May 15, 2024. Both packs add more content to the game including new cardbacks, pets, and more. Each pack will be available individually for $4.99/£4.29/€4.99.

In addition to the two new DLC packs, a free content update will be available for Across the Obelisk on May 15. The Night of the Rabbit, published by Daedalic Entertainment and developed by Matthias Kempke, is a tale of young Jerry and his adventures in the mystical realm of Mousewood. The game is available now for the Nintendo Switch.

Lose yourself in a tale of magic and wonder, where anything is possible and nothing is quite as it seems. Join young Jerry on a captivating journey to the wondrous realm of Mousewood, a land where critters can speak and mysteries abound. It is here that Jerry’s dream of becoming a magician is realised, though a haunting, sinister force casts a long shadow over the forest.

Mousewood’s residents are lured by an offer they can’t refuse–tickets to the greatest magic show the world has ever seen–but this comes at a grave cost. As the dangers unfold, they have only Jerry to turn to. In an adventure filled with laughter and tears, joy and fear, the young protagonist faces the ultimate trial, leaving behind the world he once knew, along with his own childhood.

Developed by Matthias Kempke, who believes that “games design is all about creating new worlds to be explored by players,” The Night of the Rabbit is a story-driven exploration/adventure game with beautifully handcrafted 2D art, full voice-acting and puzzles reminiscent of classic LucasArts adventures. The narrative starts off light-hearted and funny but soon shifts to a dramatic and thought-provoking tone over 20 hours of gameplay. This multi-layered story features original character and world designs based on short stories written by the game’s creator, included as in-game bonuses.

Now, with the game coming to the Nintendo Switch, players can immerse themselves in the multi-layered story and its original world design with the convenience of handheld gaming. The Night of the Rabbit promises to be an unmissable adventure for both long-time fans and newcomers alike.

How quickly could you collect a roomful of coins in Super Mario Bros.? Or snag the sword at the start of The Legend of Zelda? Or clear the entire first course in Super Mario Bros. 3? Could you do it faster than your friends? OK — can you do it faster than the rest of the world? Well, it’s time to find out!

On July 18, the Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition game kicks off its worldwide — or just living room-bound — competition on the Nintendo Switch family of systems! And for those whose NES roots run deep, prepare for the nostalgia-plosion that is the Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition – Deluxe Set. This special-edition bundle includes a physical version of the game, a set of 5 collectible pins, 13 art cards commemorating each of the featured NES classics, and a replica of the fabled gold-colored NES Game Pak (for display only, stand included) to commemorate the original 1990 Nintendo World Championships event. Perfect for collectors, and for raising above your head in victory!

The Japanese version of Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition is slightly different, as you can see in the image above. Outside of being named Nintendo World Championships: Famicom Edition, Japanese customers get different artwork due to different game boxes, but they also get Famicom-style controllers instead of the gold NES cartridge NA/EU are getting.

As for more details on Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition in general, you can find the breakdown below.

Paying tribute to the unforgettable in-person Nintendo World Championships held in 1990, 2015 and 2017, Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition challenges players to battle through bitesized bits of classic blockbusters. Both old-school and new-school players can enjoy the rush of over 150 speedrun challenges taken from 13 classic NES games. Warm up by setting and beating your own best times in the single-player Speedrun Mode – unlocking new challenges and unique in-game pins along the way – then up to 8 players* can compete locally in Party Mode. Nintendo Switch Online members** can also enter World Championships Mode to submit their best times in five challenges that rotate each week and compete for a spot on the global leaderboard. Test your mettle against speedrun challenges taken from these NES titles:

• Balloon Fight

• Donkey Kong

• Excitebike

• Ice Climber

• Kid Icarus

• Kirby’s Adventure

• Metroid

• Super Mario Bros.

• Super Mario Bros. 2

• Super Mario Bros. 3

• Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels

• The Legend of Zelda

• Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

It’s time to etch your own name into gaming history. Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition – Deluxe Set ($59.99 MSRP) and the digital version of the game ($29.99 MSRP) are available for pre-order at Best Buy, GameStop, Target and other select retailers. Also, those seeking the most authentic NES feel can snag a pair of optional Nintendo Entertainment System controllers*** ($59.99 MSRP), available to paid Nintendo Switch Online members

Last but not least, you can get an even deeper look at the game thanks to the official Japanese website. You can find that here, but you can also watch a guided tour below!

Publisher Prototype and developer LIFE0 have announced that their romance visual novel “Seven Days” will be released in Japan on June 6th, 2024, for the Nintendo Switch with English support. A new trailer was released, which you can check above.

Seven Days originally launched for PC in 2017 but then jumped over to PS Vita in 2018. An English-localized version made its way to Steam in 2019, but nothing has been heard from the game until today. This updated Switch release will include touchscreen controls, one-hand Joy-Con support, and both the extra chapter “The Purple Envelope” and the extra CG added in the PS Vita release.

About the game:

A couple of days before the summer holiday starts… Kanzaki Shuuichi receives a “cursed Blu-ray disc” from one of his friends.

Playing it at home, a female ghost emerges and possesses him. Sairenji Murasaki, Shuuichi’s childhood friend, expels the evil spirit with the exorcism skills taught by her father, who runs a time-honored Japanese Buddhist shrine. The ritual, however, is only partially successful, somehow behind leaving the physical human form of the female specter.

She identifies herself as Mikanagi Chiyako, seemingly the girl who was murdered in the video recorded on the Blu-ray disc, and tells Shuuichi and Murasaki about her situation.

“There are six other girls inside me.”

Murasaki explains that a ghost is only allowed to exist for forty-nine days in this world, meaning the seven girls can each have seven days. Shuuichi then makes up his mind to assist all of them in spending their remaining days without any regrets and passing away in happiness.

Shuuichi, however, does not realize what will happen to him later. He does not realize that he will have to see each of the seven girls depart from him.

These supplemental art pieces will be released on random dates, but they’ll continue to showcase Hatsune Miku and Pokémon together. Along with that, the art will spotlight some other Vocaloid idols as well.

Today’s art is titled “Cherry Blossom Assist”, drawn by Yuu.
