Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2's producer doesn't mind the Pokemon comparisons

DQ has a longer RPG legacy than Pokémon, but Pokémon was the first monster-centered game. I think DQ came up with a system for teaming up with monsters before Pokémon came out with it, but in the end, Pokémon ended up becoming more popular with children. So long as the series retains the Dragon Quest moniker, it'll keep selling in Japan. Will the Pokemon comparisons help the title pick up steam in North America?
