Did you know that today marks the 6-year anniversary of Nintendo announcing Metroid Prime 4 for the Switch? Back then, we all thought the game would be in our hands just a couple of years later, but Nintendo later announced a delay of the game, alongside a complete restart of the project.

While we have no idea how close Metroid Prime 4 is to releasing nowadays, there’s no doubt Retro Studios is still working their butts off. As a matter of fact, they could use a bit of help, as the studio has shared a job listing for a Senior External Environment Artist.

The listing itself doesn’t mention that this new hire would be working on Metroid Prime 4, but you’d imagine that would have to be the case. The job listing does state that ‘Retro Studios is currently in the midst of developing Metroid Prime 4 for the Nintendo Switch,’ but that’s the only Metroid-specific line we get.

If you’d like to snoop through the job listing yourself, you can find the complete rundown here.
