There is all sorts of TV programming in Japan geared towards videogames, but one of the more interesting shows is Game Genome. The series wrapped its first season not that long ago, and now they’ve given a sneak peek at what’s to come for Season 2.

We now know the complete game lineup for the second season of Game Genome, and there are a handful of games Nintendo fans/Switch owners will be interested to see covered. The complete lineup for Season 2 is as follows:

  • Final Fantasy XIV (January 10, 2024)
  • Street Fighter series (January 17, 2024)
  • Journey (January 24, 2024)
  • Mushiking: The King of Beetles, Love, and Berry: Dress Up and Dance! (January 31, 2024)
  • It Takes Two
  • Power Pros
  • NieR Automata
  • Cities: Skylines
  • Fatal Frame
  • Earthbound

There are multiple episodes in the lineup that feature games that are either directly related to Nintendo or have appeared on Nintendo platforms. The most interesting of all the games mentioned is Earthbound, which will be the Season 2 finale.

It’s no coincidence that the second season will be wrapping things up with Earthbound, as this year marks the 30th anniversary of the classic SNES title. Shigesato Itoi has already teased all sorts of events tied to the anniversary, so hopefully we get some insight into what’s coming from this episode of Game Genome.
