Official Earthbound G-Shock Watch from Casio revealed

Casio’s G-Shock Watch has been around for quite some time, and it’s no doubt been one of the most success watch lines in existence. There have been all kinds of reworks, revamps and special editions released over the years, and now a very unique option is on the way that’s sure to entice some Nintendo fans.

Shigesato Itoi, creator of Earthbound, has revealed that a Earthbound/MOTHER-branded version of the G-Shock Watch is in the works, and it’s set to arrive in Japan come March March 14th, 2024. Itoi teased that there were some surprises in store for the 30th anniversary of MOTHER, and this happens to be one of those projects teased.

As it stands, the only way to snag this watch will be through a lottery purchase system, which means it’ll be quite hard to come by. As for the MOTHER-specific features on the watch, you’ll find a MOTHER logo on the watch’s face along with the word ‘SMAAAASH!!’ that will illuminate, a phone sprite on the back of the watch, and of course, the bright red MOTHER coloring.
