Pokemon GO "Sizable Surprises" event kicks off April 4th, 2024

We’re less than two weeks away from April 2024, and if you’re a Pokémon GO fan, you’ll be able to kick off the month with yet another exciting event when next month rolls around.

The Pokemon GO “Sizable Surprises” event has been announced, and it’s set to run from April 4, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Event bonuses during this special event include the following:

• 2× XP for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
• Increased chance to encounter XXS and XXL Pokémon in the wild.
• Increased chance to encounter Shiny Wailmer!

As far as wild encounters, the following Pokémon will appear more frequently:

• Diglett
• Mantine
• Wailmer
• Joltik
• Tynamo
• Cutiefly
• Wimpod
• Cetoddle
• Shiny Wimpod (appearing for the first time in Pokemon GO)
• Onix
• Snorlax

The following Pokémon will appear in raids.

One-Star Raids

• Foongus
• Klink
• Espurr
• Tadbulb
• Shiny Celesteela (appearing for the first time in Pokemon GO)
• Shiny Kartana (appearing for the first time in Pokemon GO)

Three-Star Raids

• Alolan Exeggutor
• Galarian Weezing
• Gyarados
• Snorlax

Five-Star Raids

• Celesteela (Southern Hemisphere)
• Kartana (Northern Hemisphere)

Mega Raids

• Mega Charizard X

Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available as well, and the following Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks:

• Onix
• Snorlax
• Wailmer
• Tynamo
• Cutiefly
• Wimpod

Event-themed Collection Challenges are coming, too! Complete the Collection Challenges to receive Razz Berries, Pinap Berries, XP, and encounters with Wimpod and Wailmer!

Last but not least, be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops during the event where you can enter event-themed Pokémon.
