"Hate goin' to bed, love going to milk," is a line for the ages.

I was deep into the drawing when I heard that line. I really REALLY wanted to do something with it. Absolute classic line

I listened to your rants about FF7 and enjoyed them, but I want to deliver a hard pill to swallow that may or may not make you feel better, that is vital to know. I am about a generation older than you all, and what you must realize is that you are not the target audience of the game. You have already entered being a statistical minority of gamers, and are moving away from it - the average age has been trending lower over time, too. You are not a priority and never will be again. FF7R and games in general are targeted at a generation *younger* than you, and at a push their parents.

That sounds harsh, I know and I'm sorry, but I've been through this. Multiple times. Media in any format evolves over time and honestly it's probably what causes people to have mid-life crises. Essentially I feel there is a choice: Embrace the new, accept that the original FF7 and your feeling have nothing to do with the remake. It's just a game for an audience that is now the age you were when FF7 came out. Alternatively you can accept the new isn't for you, enjoy your collection and work on filling in games and playing what comes across you like despite target audience differentials. For as long as I've been in conflict between these two I've found myself jaded and resentful, and I found much peace in accepting that what I grew up with doesn't interest the younger audience - I'm meaning YOU dear podcasters. I found myself far too old before I accepted it.
