Nintendo recently shared their fiscal results for their 2023-2024 fiscal year, and that was followed by a Q&A session with investors. As usual, a variety of questions were asked, and we have a breakdown of one back-and-forth.

One investor in particular asked Nintendo about how their announcement of a Switch successor and its impact on Switch sales. Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa noted that they believe there will be an impact, but they’re hoping sales of evergreen titles can keep the Switch momentum from stalling completely. This is a non-article. I mean, of course it will. It always has. People who were waiting or wanting to replace their previous hardware will now hold off on a Switch to see what this new one is. This happens with all gaming console makers.
