In a new report, Nikkei has shared that construction of Nintendo’s new development center, tentatively titled ‘Corporate Headquarters Development Center, Building No. 2,’ will no longer be complete by its planned 2027 date due to plans for further expansion.

Exact details are currently unclear, but we know that, instead of Nintendo opening a 12-floor development center in 2027, they’ll be opening a development center with 13 or more floors in 2028 or later. Hopefully we’ll see the result of this expansion materialize in the next console generation and beyond.
