RUMOR - Did a hacker really try to steal the Zelda: Breath of the Wild demo from E3?

In the middle of covering all the Nintendo content from E3, I started to hear a rumor about a hacker with some devious plans. Someone out there was claiming that they were going to steal the Zelda: Breath of the Wild demo and release it online for everyone to download. I sniffed around a bit and thought the claims sounded just too fake, so I decided to not run the story.

Now here we are a few days later, and it seems that maybe the hacker behind the claims really was trying to secretly steal the demo from E3.
