GN Version 5.0

Just yesterday, SEGA revealed the Sega Genesis Collection, a compilation of over 50 classic Genesis games. The title was announced for PS4/XB1, but not Switch. This left many fans absolutely boggled, as the collection seemed like such a lock for the platform. Good news is, it seems like SEGA might be bringing the collection to the platform at a later date.

In a video by RGT 85, the Sega Genesis Collection was discussed, but the focus of the discussion was how the game wasn't coming to Switch. SEGA themselves left a response in the video, saying they're focusing on the launch of the XB1/PS4 versions of the game. The wording definitely makes it seem like SEGA has something up their sleeve for a Switch version.

Furthermore, the discussion about the video continued over onto Twitter. SEGA also dropped in on the conversation to note that they're indeed keeping tabs on what people are talking about with the game. It's super obvious that SEGA knows Switch owners want Sega Genesis Collection on the platform. The real question is, if there's a Switch version, why is it being kept a secret?
