UK software sales analysis for the week ending July 14th, 2018 - Details on Crash Bandicoot, LEGO The Incredibles, Octopath Traveler, and Captain Toad
We've already shared the Top 20 software sales for the UK during the week ending July 14th, 2018, but now we have some specific insight into the top titles. The top of the charts featured games that were very close to one another in terms of total sales, and Octopath Traveler's performance was actually the strongest when you consider revenue made.
Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy
- No. 1 in UK for the third week
- Xbox One version is performing marginally better than the Switch version
- this is something very specific to the UK market, with the Switch edition performing strongest across EMEA
LEGO The Incredibles
- No. 2 debut
- comes in below last year's LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 but ahead of LEGO Ninjago: The Movie
- 46% of sales came on PS4, 30% on Xbox One and 23% on Switch
Octopath Traveler
- No. 3 debut
- almost double the debut sales of Bravely Default
- more than double Bravely Second debut sales
- if charts were by revenue, Octopath Traveler is No.1 due to its higher price tag
- No. 1 single-platform title for the week
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
- No. 4 debut
- Switch version accounted for 93% of the sales, while the 3DS version accounted for 7%
- opening week sales were 40% lower than what the Wii U version managed
