I love this game!! The battle system is AMAZING!! But I've already played through twice, so double-dipping will be a little too much for my financial situation.

Wait a minute, it doesn't look turn based at all.
Would you please care to elaborate on that a little ? I've watched a review and it looks skill based, yes, but definitely real time and action rpg to me. So why do they say it's turn based ? Do you have direct command of the character or is it just you giving orders like you would in a classic turn-based game, final fantasy style ?

You control the character directly. When you hit R2 (I believe) on PS4, everything stops. Then you can choose which actions to take. Both walking and attacking consume a bar at the top of the screen and when you are satisfied with what you've done you hit R2 again. It's somewhere between a Tactics game and Valkyria Chronicles. The game does a much better job explaining it, but maybe this video will shed some light:

Okay thanks a lot for the explanation. It looks terrific. Definitely NOT the idea that the term "turn-based" conveys to me. I think they probably shouldn't be using it when describing the game. Anyway I'm back to buying this day one now !

Oh. It's turn based. I loved the artstyle but that kind of just killed my interest.
