Actor Bruce Campbell swats down a rumor, says Ash will not be a DLC character in Mortal Kombat 11

Hail to the king, baby

Not that long ago, a rumor of Ash from Evil Dead appearing in Mortal Kombat 11 as a DLC character. Looks like we don't have to wonder about that one anymore, as Ash actor Bruce Campbell has taken to Twitter to squash the rumor flat-out. He says Ash will not be appearing in the game, so that's that!

Bruce, will you ever be in anything else ever again?

Not that it actually is going to happen, but he wouldn’t be allowed to break NDA even if Ash were in the game anyway, so he’d have to deny it for now. These kinds of things don’t really do much to give or take favor from a situation.

This makes me wonder why they don't use the same character creation method now as they did with the first games. The technology must be way better today and I don't think any current game takes advantage of having a live-action cast. It could have a lot of potential.

Thank God, I was so worried that the one game they finally put him in would be this shitty political meme fest.

That's because he isn't involved with it.

Yes, I'm sure Netherrealm is clamouring to put in a character that people literally only care about because of his actor in without that actor.

Actually, y'know, with some of the decisions they made with this game, I wouldn't be surprised. Carry on.

Okay. Bubba Ho Tep then.
