Sonic Team says they're "now preparing" for Sonic's 30th anniversary, play coy about there being a big tie-in game
Preparations for the Blue Blur's 30th are in the works
Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka recently talked a little bit about Sonic's upcoming 30th anniversary, but Game Informer has pushed him a littler harder on the topic. Here's what Iizuka had to say when the topic came up yet again.
“2017 was a big year for Sonic. The next big year for Sonic is 2021. That’s the 30-year anniversary for Sonic. We are now preparing.”
2011 was a big anniversary for Sonic, which gave us Sonic Generations. Can fans expect another big anniversary tie-in game for Sonic's 30th anniversary? Iizuka wasn't ready to give up specifics, but when ask this question, he let out a chuckle and simple said, "Maybe."
