UK software sales for the week ending March 21st, 2020 (Animal Crossing #1, biggest single SKU launch for Switch ever)
I think people are excited for Animal Crossing...
We already had an idea that Animal Crossing: New Horizons killed it in the UK, but now we have even more specifics.
For the week ending March 21st, 2020, Animal Crossing took the #1 spot. As we said, it sold more than all other Animal Crossing games combined in their debut week, including spin-off titles. Furthermore, it's the biggest single game launch on Switch since the console launched. Counting Pokemon Sword/Shield together gives the edge to Pokemon. Finally, DOOM Eternal takes #2, but apparently Animal Crossing was "comfortably ahead" of that sequel.
