The Switch is facing shortages all over the world, and consumers are doing what they can to snag the system. That includes fans in South Korea, who are doing all they can to try and find units. Check out some details below on the trials and tribulations in South Korea, as translated by NintendoSoup.

- a large retailer in Yeongtong-gu attracted close to 1,000 people who wanted to purchase a Switch
- the store previously announced that they'd have just 45 units to go around, and would be running a lottery for purchase
- the retailer said they never expected so many people to show up
- Korean blogs have been covering stories of people desperately trying to find the Switch, and swarming stores to buy one
- Korean retailer E-Mart started opening Switch lotteries through their app and website in mid April 2020
- in Anyang city, a store announced it would be getting 25 units, which caused 30 people to line up at 5 in the morning
- scalpers are pricing the Switch at 500,000 won, which is one quarter above the normal MSRP
