Check out the first gameplay for Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact
Hunting down footage
Back in March, publisher Bushiroad Games and developer Eighting announced Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact, 2D fighting game, for Switch. The title doesn’t have a release date at this time, but now we finally have some gameplay footage to check out.
The gameplay above reveals that Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact is a 3v3 fighter in a 2D arena. All the characters come with the signature moves you’d expect, plus you can call in teammates to help out. Through the gameplay, we also get to see some of the moves that can be chained together for some devastating onslaughts.
Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact will make its public playable debut at EVO Japan 2024, which runs from April 27th to 29th, 2024 at Ariake GYM-EX in Tokyo, Japan. There will be another demo event at the Kansai Gaming Party 2024 (KGP2024) fighting game tournament, which takes place May 4-5, 2024 at the Misono Universe venue in Osaka, Japan.

Stay Grounded with Rika & Clodsire in Pokémon Masters EX Today
The duo for you?
The first member of Paldea’s Elite Four is making her debut in Pokémon Masters EX! Look forward to good ol’ Rika and her trusty Clodsire as they pair up to form a durable, tenacious sync pair that thrives at the center of battle. Rika & Clodsire are a Ground-type support sync pair that are not only adept at taking damage but also at sending plenty of punishment back their opponents’ way.
Case in point—after an opponent attacks Rika & Clodsire, their passive skill Take Hit: Opp 1 of 5 Stats ↓2 9 will lower at random that opponent’s Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, or Speed by two stat ranks. Additionally, their passive skill Team Triage Tank 9 will recover HP to all allied sync pairs each time Rika & Clodsire are hit by a damaging move, making them a strong choice against opponents with attack moves that hit all targets. They can also raise the Sp. Def of all allied sync pairs by two stat ranks with each use of X Sp. Def All, so be sure to bring them along against sync pairs that deal special attack damage.
In a battle of attrition, Rika & Clodsire are certainly in their element, but they have ways to accelerate victory, too. Their buddy move Rampant Mud Slap doesn’t deal a lot of damage, but it never misses, and it lowers the target’s accuracy by two stat ranks while also leaving them poisoned. It also creates a Ground Zone that increases the power of all Ground-type moves, making it a strong complement to offensive sync pairs packing those types of moves. And that’s not all—Rampant Mud Slap also increases the Physical Moves ↑ Next Effect and Special Moves ↑ Next Effect of all allied sync pairs by one rank. The opponent won’t even know what hit ‘em!
For more details on this sync pair’s passive skills and moves, check out Rika & Clodsire’s in-game sync pair scout screen. Rika & Clodsire are available to scout from April 25, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. PDT to May 15, 2024, at 10:59 p.m. PDT.

Blizzard has just announced that BlizzCon 2024 is no more. The studio has revealed that they’ve cancelled plans for BlizzCon 2024, although they look forward to bringing the event back for future years. No specific reason for the cancellation of BlizzCon 2024 was shared, but you can read the full announcement from Blizzard below.
After careful consideration over the last year, we at Blizzard have made the decision not to hold BlizzCon in 2024. This decision was not made lightly as BlizzCon remains a very special event for all of us, and we know many of you look forward to it. While we’re approaching this year differently and as we have explored different event formats in the past, rest assured that we are just as excited as ever to bring BlizzCon back in future years.
Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing more details about our launches coming later this year, including World of Warcraft: The War Within and Diablo IV’s first expansion, Vessel of Hatred. To celebrate these upcoming releases and to bring our communities together in new and special ways, we will soon share some exciting plans for other industry trade shows and conventions like Gamescom. We can’t wait to tell you more about those plans soon. We’re also looking forward to the Overwatch Champions Series’ stops at both Dreamhack Dallas and Dreamhack Stockholm. And we’re thrilled to be planning multiple, global, in-person events to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Warcraft, which will be held in addition to the in-game celebrations across our Warcraft games throughout 2024. While these events are distinct from BlizzCon, we’re harnessing all of our creativity and imagination to ensure that they carry the same spirit of celebration and togetherness.
Our hope is that these experiences – alongside several live-streamed industry events where we’ll keep you up to date with what’s happening in our game universes – will capture the essence of what makes the Blizzard community so special.
No matter how you choose to connect with us at these events this year – whether it be in person or virtually – we can’t wait to see you there!
