The Genius of the Super Mario Bros. “Game Over” Theme

That right there is the game over theme from Super Mario Bros.. Looks pretty simple, wouldn't you say? Well it might seem that way to an untrained eye, but there's actually a lot of smart design going on there. This tiny piece of music was picked apart by Andrew Schartmann, who just so happens to hold degrees in music from McGill and Yale.
