Last week, studio Epic Games announced that they would be donating all proceeds from their popular game Fortnite during the period of March 20, 2022 to April 3, 2022 to humanitarian relief for people affected by the war in Ukraine. Today, they revealed via Twitter that the total amount of funds raised from this endeavor now totals $100 million. That’s an extremely impressive figure considering they still have five days to go!

Not alone in this effort, Epic has seen support from Microsoft, who have added their proceeds from the XBox version of Fortnite to the total. Relief organizations such as UNICEF and the World Central Kitchen are also helping channel the funds to the right places. This effort has helped provide shelter, food and water, supplies, and more to those in need in Ukraine.

It’s great to see the popularity of Fortnite successfully leveraged for a good cause. Click here for more information, or see the original tweet below.
