13 foot PokéStop built for Pokémon GO promotion in Japan

A special promotion is currently being run for Pokémon GO in Japan, known as the “Let’s Go To Hills” event. It’s meant to promote walking through the hills of Japan, by enticing people with cool Pokémon GO activities. As part of the event, an actual 13 foot tall PokéStop has been built and placed in Takahashi City in Okayama, Japan.

If you visit the PokéStop while playing Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to find the following Pokémon as they spawn: Charizard, Voltorb, Chimchar, Darumaka, Fletchling, and Litten. The event takes place from January 20th to February 5th, 2023. If you happen to be in Japan, it should be a great place to catch some Pokes (not to mention a great photo op)!
