SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is coming to Switch a few days from now, on January 31, 2023. If one new SpongeBob game isn’t good enough for you, fear not - developer Purple Lamp says that there could be more coming from them in the future. Speaking to Nintendo Everything, project manager Andreas Jarzabek made the following statement:
“We live and breathe SpongeBob at Purple Lamp and yes, we still have so many ideas we would love to bring to life in future SpongeBob games. We hope players will have as much fun playing as we had making this new and exciting instalment to the series and that we will continue this journey together for many years and games to come.”
Purple Lamp already proved themselves with their recent remake of Battle for Bikini Bottom, and Cosmic Shake looks like another faithful adaptation. We’ll be able to see for ourselves on January 31, 2023. What types of SpongeBob games would you like to see Purple Lamp develop next?
