A special promotion is currently being run for Pokémon GO in Japan, known as the “Let’s Go To Hills” event. It’s meant to promote walking through the hills of Japan, by enticing people with cool Pokémon GO activities. As part of the event, a actual 13 foot tall PokéStop has been built and placed in Magome-Juku in Naktsugawa City, Japan. This is the third such PokéStop that has been built for the event so far.

If you visit the PokéStop while playing Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to find the following Pokémon as they spawn: Swinub, Altaria, Snorunt, Glaceon, and Vanillite. The special spawns will be available from February 16th to February 28, 2023, and the PokéStop itself will be in place until May 16, 2023. If you happen to be in Japan, it should be a great place to catch some Pokes and snap some photos!
