Without The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, we wouldn’t have Tears of the Kingdom. It’s the bedrock that Link’s latest adventure is built on, which we’re on the cusp of experiencing for ourselves. With precious few hours left until launch, let’s spend just a little more time looking back at Breath of the Wild.

When artist PiercedOtter heard about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, he was quite excited. Having played a great deal of Breath of the Wild, they knew Link’s next game would be a day-one purchase. The question is, how would they fill their time between the game’s announcement and launch? With a unique piece of stained glass, of course!

PiercedOtter got to work on a stained glass recreation of the Guardian Sword++ from Breath of the Wild, and as you can see above, it’s absolutely stunning. Believe it or not, from design to coloring and cuts, it took just one week to create this real-life tribute. Now we can’t wait to see what PiercedOtter brings to life from Tears of the Kingdom!

And it is just as fragile as the ingame sword!
