Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game now available for pre-order for May 2024 release

Metal Gear Solid is officially making its way to the tabletop in the form of Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game. This adaptation was originally meant to be released years ago, but was unceremoniously canceled as a result of issues with IDW Games. Now, publisher CMON has picked up the rights from Konami and will be delivering the game themselves sometime in May 2024.

Inspired by the original Metal Gear Solid game, this adaptation has you directing Snake and his team through various tactical espionage missions. Of course, you’ll need to utilize stealth to avoid being spotted by security cameras and patrols. The game also includes various boss fights, a campaign mode, and lots of minis.

You can pre-order Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game (Integral Edition) via CMON’s web site right now. It costs $100, and includes an exclusive Metal Gear REX miniature, plus a 109 page graphic novel.
