Japanese indie publisher Shinyuden has announced 2 retro games set to come to Switch later this summer. On August 24th, both Retro Revengers and Retro Mystery Club Vol. 1: The Ise-Shima Case will launch on the eShop for $9.90 USD.

Retro Revengers is a unique-looking adventure platformer game traveling through diverse biomes with different strategies and includes a narrative bursting with references and easter eggs. With wonderful music composed by Manami Matsumae, who also composed for other video games like Mega Man and Shovel Knight. “Five friends play a mysterious game, only to get isekai’ed into a strange world threatening the existence of not just their games but their world too. Master the characters’ different skill sets and defend their love of retro.”

Retro Mystery Club Vol.1: The Ise-Shima Case is a classic-style mystery adventure game, inspired by the Famicom Detective Club series from NES and illustrated by Famitsu’s legend Kiyokazu Arai, will take you on a suspenseful journey through the beautiful landscapes of Ise-Shima. Rendered in a beautiful 8-bit pixel art, as you solve puzzles and unravel mysteries in this retro-style adventure game.

Never expected to see this game in the west. The Famicom Detective Club series was pretty good so I might give this one a spin too.
