Players continue to impress with the amount of things they’ve made possible using the physics in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The latest in-game contraption that’s appeared online is a recreation of something known as a “tensegrity device”.

Tensegrity is short for “tensional integrity”, and refers to a structure with a unique design that allows it to stand without traditional support in place. Compression forces from the center are spread throughout the device evenly to allow it to remain stable in spite of its unstable appearance.

The tensegrity device being shown off in Tears of the Kingdom was put together by u/IAMA_llAMA_AMA over on Reddit. This feat was accomplished using a series of hooks attached to wooden beams and planks. Amazingly, the structure stands perfectly well, as the game apparently utilizes the same physics properties that would make this work in real life! Click here to see it in action.

The creator notes that they got this supply of hooks at Great Sky Island, so anyone looking to recreate this in their own game knows where to get started. It’s likely that the next version of this device someone makes will be even more complex and impressive!
