A special festival celebrating the 20th anniversary of Tales of Symphonia’s release on the GameCube has been announced. It’ll be taking place in Osaka, Japan in October 2023, and it sounds like there will be plenty to interest longtime Tales fans.

The main event will be a special reading of an original script, presumably following the events of the game. This reading will feature several of the actual voice actors from the original game. Attendees will also receive a copy of the script included with their admission, complete with printed autographs from the cast. The lead singer of the Tales of Symphonia opening songs, misono, will also be in attendance.

At the conclusion of the festival, a series of fan artwork and messages will be shared on screen. If you’d like to submit your own addition, you can tweet it alongside the hashtag #TOS20周年おめでとう, any time from now until September 18th.

The festival will be held on October 21, 2023 at the Orix Theater in Osaka, Japan. The price of a single ticket for admission is around $114 USD. Click here to view the festival’s official web site, and click here to purchase a ticket directly.
