Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night launched back in June 2019 following an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign. That success has continued over to the game itself, as we’ve now learned that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has now sold 2 million copies worldwide.

Work on Bloodstained continues all these years later, as the dev team works to include a host of new content. Today, we get a new video from the dev team showcasing how some of that extra content is coming along.

The dev team says they’ve been busy working on the new VS and Chaos modes, both of which include online multiplayer that is behind handled by WayForward. The team also mentioned that they hit some challenges and delays that they did not expect, but they push forward regardless. Those interested in these expansions can expect to hear more on Sept. 14th, 2023.

I just want them to stop and concentrate on Bloodstained 2.
