This week, Cult of the Lamb announced the “Sins of the Flesh” update, coming early next year. We don’t yet know the full details of what this update includes, but it all began with a now infamous tweet claiming that the devs would be adding sex to the game.

As the update’s name would indicate, “Sins of the Flesh” has indeed been confirmed to be bringing sex into the game. However, you shouldn’t expect anything too explicit. Speaking with Polygon, the game developers went on record stating that it won’t be anything so raunchy as to change the game’s current T rating.

We used games like Pokémon and The Sims when it comes to references, but put our own cult-ish spin on things. The age rating will not change.

It sounds like there will be implied adult content, but it won’t be anything that your average teenager couldn’t handle. The developers also indicated that they’d had the idea for this update for a while now, but weren’t ready to implement it just yet.

We’ll have to wait and see exactly how sex gets worked into the game when the new update drops (for free!) sometime in early 2024.
